Reclaim

Privacy

Short version: the app runs entirely on your Mac and sends us nothing about your files. The only personal information involved is what Stripe needs to take a payment.

What the app collects

Nothing. Reclaim scans your disk and memory locally. File names, paths, sizes and the list of what you delete never leave your machine — there is no account, no analytics and no telemetry.

What the app sends

Two requests, and nothing else:

It checks for updates, which tells our server only that some copy of Reclaim is running a particular version.

It validates your licence when you download, which sends the licence key so we can confirm the purchase with Stripe.

What we hold about you

Your purchase lives in Stripe, not in a database of ours — we have no customer table. Stripe holds your email address and payment details; we can see your email and whether you paid, and we never see your card number.

Stripe's handling of that data is covered by their privacy policy.

Cookies

One, and only after you buy: a cookie remembering that this browser belongs to a customer, so downloading again does not require typing your key. There is no advertising or analytics cookie on this site.

Your data, your call

You can ask us what we hold, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Deleting your Stripe customer record also removes your licence, so a deletion request means you can no longer re-download — we will say so before acting on it.
